Nice color on Alpine skiing and F1 evolution. I’ve never followed F1 closely, mostly because it’s on a wider array of time zones. I have followed NASCAR top series for years. A few years ago they rolled out an electric prototype at the Chicago Street course, the fan pushback was enormous, it went back in the locker and hasn’t been talked about since. F1 needs to remember its roots, and provide fans the thrill they tune in for or it will eventually be a zero emissions series for real. The green/net zero movement never makes sense, and this is just another example of green lighting gone bad.
Thanks Dave. The fact that there is already discussion about the next set of F1 engine specs when the current era has barely started is a good indication that the FIA recognizes they've made a mistake that needs correcting.
Klammer was clearly the best of that era. A true legend.
Max is not happy with the current cars. Whether they will improve enough to keep him driving in F1 is the question, as he is clearly enjoying the endurance racing he is doing on the side. I think F1 will change quickly enough to keep him driving in the series, but it might not be for Red Bull.

I like the timing of the European races. Early Sunday mornings with a cup of coffee.

Great article, you nicely captured the precise issue that F1 fans like me are struggling with: the dilution of the driver element. Thanks!
You’re welcome. Glad you enjoyed it. I wish we were also enjoying the racing!
Downhill comparisons today vs yesterday? There’s only one:

F1 is crazy. A week or two ago I saw that Max V was indicating he may retire. Do you think that’s legitimate?
(By the way….Great title. I see what you’re doing.)
